The Whittemore MBA Club (WMBAC) is the universe of people with an MBA degree from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics (WSBE) at The University of New Hampshire. There is no cost to join the club. Every MBA graduate is automatically a member. There are no annual dues, and the club is entirely run by volunteers - MBA graduates from WSBE. Started as in informal social club in the early 1990's, WMBAC is now a New Hampshire non-profit organization with 501(c)3 IRS tax-exempt status.

Vision: To be the best possible professional, educational and social network for Whittemore MBA graduates, current/prospective students, and the Whittemore School.

Mission: To give back to the Whittemore School community through professional development, networking, scholarship support, mentoring, and community action.

Goals: To foster productive business and social ties among the Whittemore School’s MBA graduates and the business communities of interest to them, and to improve the professional quality, reputation and leadership of WSBE’s MBA programs:

To support the professional development of WMBAC members, current students, faculty and staff, through job matching, scholarships, and other professional development assistance; To plan, promote and host events that provide opportunities for WMBAC members and their families to meet professionally and socially, including with representatives of the business community; To enhance the overall relationship between WSBE and its MBA graduates, by articulating the viewpoint of the school’s MBA graduates regarding the school’s programs, policies, administration and program development.

In 2007, the Club is making a concerted effort to raise at least $20,000. At least one-third of monies raised will go to financial assistance to current and/or incoming MBA students, through the Dean's scholarship fund. At least another one-third will go to support the Club's efforts to bring MBA graduates into touch with companies and other organizations looking to hire people with MBA degrees. These efforts include the development and management of an interactive, dynamic web site where jobs and resumes can be posted, as well as networking events the Club intends to sponsor for the purpose of bringing employers and MBA graduates together.
